Do you have a terrace, a loggia, a balcony or a garden?
With the return of good weather, you can use it to eat outside, all without leaving your home.
It is not enough to install a table and chairs to be well outside: you can take the process a little further by following certain tips.
It's up to you to see which ones apply to you and those around you.
How to create a pleasant dining area on your terrace?
Get in the shade
Sunbathing while eating is good, but getting sunburned is less so!
If your terrace or balcony is very exposed to the sun, the use of a parasol is more than recommended.
You can choose a model that attaches to your outdoor table, or opt for a free-standing parasol, to be positioned next to it.
There are also clip-on models that can be attached to your balcony, but in this case, watch out for the wind.

If you have a garden, installing a pergola is ideal, because it protects you from the sun, but also from the rain and even the wind.
It is a hard installation which can however represent a significant budget.

Choose the right furniture
The garden furniture with sofa and coffee table is very good for having coffee or an aperitif, but when it comes to eating a barbecue, for example, it is less practical.
If you do not have the space to combine both a relaxation area and a dining area, it is recommended to favor the latter.
A standard table and the right size chairs will give you the comfort and space you need to eat with family or friends, without having to put your plate on your lap.
The choice of materials for the table is at your complete discretion: wood, resin, plastic, the main thing is that you have fun!

Create multiple moods
We mentioned just above the choice of the table.
If your terrace or your garden are large, nothing prevents you from multiplying the layouts of space.
You can create a coffee and aperitif corner at the bottom of the garden, under the trees, and install the table for eating closer to the access to your house.
By creating different moods in your garden, it's as if you have several rooms outside.
You can complete the whole thing with a hammock in the shade, for example, to take a nap after eating!
Set up an outdoor kitchen
If you have space in your garden or on your terrace, you can consider setting up an outdoor kitchen: pizza oven or barbecue, sink, worktop... it's a dream installation for cooking outdoors.
However, this type of installation is expensive.
It is important to be able to protect it from the weather.

The outdoor kitchen is generally indicated in regions where it is possible to enjoy the outdoors for a large part of the year.
However, if you don't have the space or the means, you can improvise one with an electric hob and a barbecue, for example.
Bring freshness!
If it is very hot, cooling down is essential.
If you can, install a swimming pool or spa in your garden during the summer.
If you don't have the space, you can make do with a fountain, or even a fan with an integrated mister.

Plants should not be overlooked either, as they can play an important role in temperature regulation.
Don't forget to water them, ideally early in the morning or in the evening.
