BTA and ANSA signed a collaboration agreement on the occasion of the Spring Conference and the General Assembly of the European Alliance of Press Agencies (EANA) underway in Sarajevo, with the presence in connection of the Italian Ambassador in Sofia Giuseppina Zarra and the Bulgarian Ambassador to Rome Todor Stoyanov.

The signed agreement provides for the availability and exchange of content that can be used on the platforms of the two Agencies and the possibility of developing joint commercial offers to support the communication of institutions and companies in the respective countries.

Bulgaria is an important commercial and investment partner for our country, the fourth most important in the whole area of Central Eastern Europe, and the Italian community present in the country constitutes a vital element of the Bulgarian social and entrepreneurial fabric.

I therefore hope - emphasizes the Ambassador - that this renewed collaboration can accompany and support the ongoing work we are carrying out to further strengthen our collaboration and make a strategic qualitative leap ".

The Bulgarian Ambassador in Rome Todor Stoyanov for his part called the agreement further proof of the excellent ties between Bulgaria and Italy.

"We have been collaborating for some time and with mutual satisfaction with the BTA Agency and this new agreement - in addition to guaranteeing the mutual availability of certified information between Bulgaria and Italy - is a first step for the development of projects between the two Agencies to support communication of the respective institutions and companies of the two countries ", underlined ANSA CEO Stefano De Alessandri.

The director general of the BTA, Kiril Valchev, noted that the signing of the agreement takes place on the day when the Orthodox Church in Bulgaria celebrates the Saints Cyril and Methodius brothers.

"

The holy remains of St. Cyril the Philosopher are found in the church of San Clemente in Rome and this is another link between Bulgaria and Italy.

Saint Cyril says that fire proves gold and silver, and the man with his mind separates the lie from the truth.

The mission of the news agencies is to guarantee the knowledge of the truth and this agreement between BTA and ANSA helps precisely in this, "said Valchev.
