Your duvet should bring you warmth and comfort, depending on the season.

It must therefore be adapted to the size of your bed to allow you to sleep without being afraid of turning over and having no duvet.

But it must also be warm enough to avoid micro-awakenings during the night, without suffocating you with heat.

Some duvets also have heat indices to help you find your way around and choose the warm duvet that suits you best.

If you are the chilly type, choose a winter duvet that will provide you with gentle warmth.

Several models are available, with different fillings and weights.

Which duvet to choose for the winter?

Choosing the right duvet is important for sleeping well.

There are duvets with natural filling or synthetic filling, very warm, warm, temperate or 4-season duvets and summer duvets.

A few tips for choosing the right duvet:

    Look at the filling

Natural duvets have a longer lifespan.

They are made of goose or duck down, bamboo or wool.

    They are thermoregulatory (heat regulation).

Namely, the higher the percentage of down, the higher the thermal comfort.

Synthetic duvets are recommended for people prone to allergies.

    Their lifespan is shorter.

The filling can be in silicone hollow fibers which are distributed correctly throughout the duvet, or in microfibers for insulating and swelling duvets.

    Know the weight

It corresponds to the weight of the filling (g/m2).

The higher the weight, the warmer the duvet will be.

We thus find winter duvets with a weight of around 400g/m2 which are considered as warm duvets and others with a gram of more than 500g/m2, for very warm duvets.

The temperate duvet is rather light and is used in mid-season.

Its weight is generally between 300 and 400 g/m2.

As for the 4-season duvet, it can be used, as its name suggests, for all seasons, so all year round.

It adapts very well to body heat and the weight depends on its specificity.

And for summer nights, the summer or very temperate duvet is light with a weight of 150 to 200 g/m2.

And the blanket, a good solution for keeping warm?

Do not forget the blanket that will keep you warm during the winter.

Far from being obsolete, it is making a strong comeback in bedrooms and is available in several materials.

Of course, you have the traditional wool blanket, an excellent thermal insulator, which in addition to keeping you warm absorbs humidity.

Pay attention to maintenance, which is done dry.

The fleece blanket has a strong insulating power and has the advantage of drying quickly if you have to wash it.

Finally, the microfiber blanket, very soft, which will accompany you for a peaceful sleep.

As with duvets, check the weight of your blanket.

The higher it is, the warmer the blanket will be.
