to support the purchasing power of the French but without “
overreacting
”, estimated Thursday the president of Medef, Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux.

In inflation as it stands, there are things that are not going to last (…).
We must not overreact and above all we must target very precisely
” the aid measures, he declared on RTL.
The President of the Republic has promised by the summer measures to support the purchasing power of the French in the face of inflation which reached 4.8% in April according to INSEE, and which could exceed as early as the month of May the 5%.

The Medef "
is not for us to continue to do whatever it costs
", further insisted the boss of the Medef, preferring measures concentrated on "
the people who really need

The employers' organization has notably proposed the creation of a "
petrol check
" that companies could pay to their employees who come to work by car.

80% of employees come to work by car and with a price of super or diesel at two euros, it is expensive to go to work
