WhatsApp update brings innovations: emojis, data sharing and group size

WhatsApp users can now look forward to three innovations.
There are now emoji reactions, for example.
Munich – WhatsApp is releasing an update with three practical innovations.
The largest is data sharing. From now on, users of the messenger service can send attachments of up to two GB.
So far, this was possible with a maximum size of 100 MB.
That should be especially good for those who want to send feature films in HD quality or large photo collections.
All no longer a problem.
A display informs about the respective duration of the transfer.
The inclusion of emoji reactions should also please many users.
Instead of replying to a message with text, it's now quick and easy to respond with an emoji.
“Reactions are fun, fast, and reduce congestion in groups.
We will continue to improve it and add an even wider range of expressions in the future,” the WhatsApp developers promise in a statement on the innovation.
With WhatsApp, it was previously not possible to react directly to a message with an emoji in group chats.
WhatsApp innovations: Six emojis are available
So far, six reaction options are available.
A thumbs up, a heart, a laughing, a surprised and a crying emoji and two clasped hands.
More emojis will be added in the coming weeks.

To react to a message with an emoji, you have to press and hold the message in question a little longer and can use it to mark it.
A tab with the emoji selection will appear.
You can select the one you want by tapping on it.
The sent reaction then appears below the respective message.
WhatsApp innovations: Group size doubles to 512 people
There is another change for group chats: There can now be up to 512 people in a group.
This corresponds to a doubling of the previous maximum group size of 256 participants.
Users who want to benefit from the innovations should activate the automatic update on their smartphone.
For Android devices, this can be done in the Play Store under Settings, Network settings and then "Update apps automatically".
iPhone owners open the App Store, tap Account and then Updates.
Click "Update" above the button next to the app.
In principle, it is recommended to activate automatic updates.
In this way, users always receive the most important updates without having to install them manually each time.
Users should already be looking forward to Mark Zuckerberg's announcement that he would like to introduce more emojis to WhatsApp.
Again and again, the small chat symbols cause discussions among users.
