(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 13 - "We didn't kill Serena, it wasn't us".
This is what was reiterated before the judges of the Court of Cassino, Anna Maria Mottola accused, together with her husband Franco, former marshal of the Arce carabinieri, and her son Marco, of the murder of Serena Mollicone, killed on the first of June 2001 in the center of frusinate.
Marshal Vincenzo Quatrale (consort in murder) and the constable Francesco Suprano, who is accused of favoring, are also at the stand.
During the examination, the woman essentially said what she had already declared by her son in the hearing on 11 May last.
The defendant, referring to the door of the Arce barracks where Mollicone, according to the prosecution, was thrown and remained unconscious, stated "that he did not notice that it had been removed that evening, I did not pay attention to the fact that it had been removed".
According to the accusatory system, Serena was hit while she was in the barracks and fell unconscious due to some skull fractures: she was left in that condition for four to six hours before being killed by the adhesive tape that was applied to her mouth and nose causing suffocation .
