Take the time to compare prices
Today there are dozens of sites dedicated to travel, hotel booking and airline tickets on the Internet.
Most allow you to compare the prices of flights and accommodation: do not hesitate to use them, and even abuse them!
It's a great way to find the best price for a specific location.
Sometimes, when you register on the sites, you are entitled to additional discounts, which can be very interesting.
For the airlines, as surprising as it may seem, it is often directly on their site that we find the best rates.
Don't forget to activate the loyalty programs to take advantage of some interesting advantages during your getaways.
Make your reservations in private browsing
Some travel-related sites are quick to inflate their prices if they can determine that you live in a country with a high standard of living.
Similarly, if you visit a hotel or airline page multiple times, prices may gradually increase before you decide to book.
It's strange and debatable, but this approach is beautiful and legal!
To circumvent it, it is necessary, at least, to use the private navigation of your navigator: that avoids the recording of the cookies on your hard disk.
The ideal is to use a VPN to locate yourself in a foreign country: if this possibility is offered to you, do not hesitate, great savings are often at stake!
Book at the right time
By “good time”, we mean both the time that concerns your departure period on vacation and the time during which you are booking.
Ideally, avoid school holidays as much as possible: rather than leaving in July or August, leave in May, June or September.
Try to anticipate your reservations as much as possible: the rates are always lower if you book well in advance.
Finally, both for your flights and for your hotels, avoid booking online on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays: these are the days when the prices are the highest.
Choose a less touristy destination
This advice is sometimes easier said than done, but if you can do it, you can not only enjoy lower prices, but also a more peaceful vacation, with fewer tourists.
Sometimes moving a few tens of kilometers away from a very touristy city offers you new, more attractive perspectives, and a more authentic experience.
It's a choice that's easier to implement if you have personal transportation to where you plan to go, but it's worth considering, depending on your budget.
