Models looking like super heroines.
This Thursday, May 12, Louis Vuitton flew to San Diego to present its Cruise 2023 collection. 56 models paraded like warriors in the very minimalist and raw Salk Institute, designed by architect Louis Kahn.
Among them: Lauren Wasser, chosen by designer Nicolas Ghesquière.
The American is tragically famous for having had both legs amputated after suffering from the toxic syndrome associated with wearing a tampon.
All dressed in silver, ranging from an oversized trench coat to futuristic sneakers, Lauren Wasser and her gold prostheses were thus highlighted by contrast.
A strong position of the French house, which draws attention to this syndrome.

Amputated from her first leg in 2012 and then from the second in 2018, the model chose to continue her career as a model to raise awareness among the public and the public authorities and to campaign for more transparency on the composition of feminine hygiene products.
Her golden prostheses have earned her the nickname "model with golden legs".
Baptized @theimpossiblemuse on Instagram - the impossible muse - the model paraded during the previous Milan Fashion Week for the Annakiki brand.
In Paris, she distinguished herself in the front rows of Sacai.
And of course from Louis Vuitton.
