(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 13 - "The third" inter-ministerial decree for sending weapons to Ukraine "is now ready, it will be in the Official Journal shortly, I think between today and tomorrow".
This was said by Giorgio Mulè, Undersecretary of Defense and Deputy of Forza Italia, guest of Un giorno da pecora, on Rai Radio 1.
Are they new weapons or different from the previous decrees?
"There is something different, but nothing that goes in the direction of tremendous armies, such as tanks. There are no tanks", Mulè clarified, without exaggerating on the quantity: "They answer what we have been asked with respect to what Italy Minister Guerini will go to Copasir on Monday, at the beginning of next week: there for the third time he will tell Copasir components exactly what kind of weapons are foreseen. Second world war machine guns? We do not send obsolete material - he replied -, ciofeche or stuff to throw away ".
If the latest decree on the dispatch of arms to Kiev was to arrive, "it would mean that we are close to the peace negotiation - added Mulè -. I hope it will be the last, but everything suggests that there will still be a need to support the Ukrainian government ".
However, he clarified, "we are not preparing the fourth decree".
