Pentagon chief hears Russian defense minister, ceasefire

(ANSA) - NEW YORK, MAY 13 - The head of the pentagon Lloyd Austin had a telephone conversation with the Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu during which he called for a rapid fire in Ukraine and highlighted the importance of preserving communication channels.

The Pentagon says so.

This is the first call since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.
