Queen Elizabeth II personally inspected her horses at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
On Friday she was beaming with joy at the traditional event in the park of her Windsor Castle residence near London.
Elizabeth, wearing tinted glasses, was driven in an SUV to the grounds near the castle.
There, sitting in the passenger seat, she spoke through the open car window to several people who are believed to be those responsible for the show.
The Queen is a horse lover and owns several animals.
Some of them took part in competitions on Friday.
The 96-year-old had canceled the opening of parliament ceremony in London on Tuesday due to health problems – only for the third time in her 70-year reign.
Heir to the throne Prince Charles represented his mother.
It was then speculated that the Queen would not come to the Horse Show either.
The Queen celebrates her 70th throne anniversary this year.
She had recently canceled several events due to mobility problems.
Most recently, the monarch appeared in public at the end of March at the memorial service for her husband Prince Philip, who died in 2021.
