A salami recall hits shops all over Germany.

Sausage could be contaminated with Salmonella and Listeria bacteria.

Stuttgart – Salami, which may pose health risks, has been sold in six federal states in Germany.

The Stuttgart delicatessen retailer Di Gennaro warns against the consumption of Italian salami with the product name Salame Cacciatore italiano DOP, which is sold in several federal states.

The sausage from the Italian manufacturer Villani could make consumers sick.

The affected product should no longer be consumed, as it could be contaminated with Salmonella and Listeria bacteria.

Anyone who eats the salami could get salmonella.

Salami recall: “The disease can be life-threatening in infants”

“The symptoms of a salmonella infection can be malaise, diarrhoea, vomiting and/or fever.

The incubation period after consumption is usually 48 hours, rarely up to three days.

Di Gennaro sells this pork salami from the Italian company Villani in six federal states: Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate.

It was sold to branches of various trading groups, retailers, butchers and delicatessens.

Consumers can bring them back to the respective sales outlets.
