A long-time actress, the American Gwyneth Paltrow has since 2008 enriched her CV with a new role: that of a businesswoman.
She manages the
Goop
site , on which you can find advice from health professionals, beauty and well-being products, but also gadgets of all kinds, sometimes reaching hundreds of dollars.

If the site wants to focus on well-being and health, it happens to be singled out as a result of slippages in the advice given.
We remember in particular the promotion of the abandonment of the underwired bra, which would promote breast cancer... Not to mention the products pinned and mocked by Internet users such as the sauna for the vagina or the scented candle with the scent "genital".
Accustomed to controversy therefore, Gwyneth was not afraid to announce the release of a new product: 12 luxury baby diapers for the modest sum of 120 dollars.
Or how to stretch the stick... And yet!

Looking more closely, we understand that this is actually a well-conducted communication operation.
Because these luxury diapers “lined with virgin alpaca wool, encrusted with amber crystals and infused with a scent of jasmine and bergamot,” as the site states, are actually not for sale.

In an article published on her site, the businesswoman explains that "in 33 American states, diapers are not treated as an essential item but taxed as a luxury item".
Concretely, this tax can vary between 1.5% and 7%, which can become a big expense for some families.
To highlight the problem relating to this tax, the actress chose the social network Instagram with a well thought out strategy.
A first post announced the sale of these Goop diapers, which did not fail to puzzle Internet users: "It's a joke, isn't it?"
or even, “It’s an April Fool!”, could we read among the many reactions under the publication.
Finally, a second Instagram post published a few hours later reassured them.
In a video, we can see Gwyneth Paltrow, not afraid proud of her hoax, explaining the operation behind these "miscarriages" at an exorbitant price.
Then, after strongly condemning this iniquitous tax on a basic necessity, the actress invites you to make a donation to the Baby2Baby association.
"Your donation will support their advocacy efforts nationwide and help provide diapers to parents in need," says Chris Martin's former girlfriend, visibly more militant than we thought.
