    Ponceuse excentrique ou orbitale : les différences

    Ces deux ponceuses se ressemblent en fait beaucoup, mais disposent chacune de particularités :

    La ponceuse excentrique

    Elle est constituée d’un plateau rotatif, sur lequel il faut adapter un disque de papier de verre. La rotation du plateau ponceuse est possible grâce au mouvement rotatif du moteur électrique qui constitue l’appareil. La ponceuse excentrique cumule le mode de fonctionnement des ponceuses vibrantes et orbitales, ce qui en fait un outil polyvalent et apprécié des bricoleurs. Son moteur a généralement une puissance de 300 à 800 watts. La ponceuse excentrique possède souvent un sac à poussière et/ou d’une sortie sur aspirateur pour ponceuse. Elle est facile à utiliser, car légère et maniable et s’utilise sur toutes les surfaces. Vous pouvez adapter la feuille abrasive en sélectionnant un grain de plus en plus fin, selon vos besoins. Avec une ponceuse excentrique, vous obtenez des finitions parfaites et précises sans aucune trace sur la surface à poncer.

    La ponceuse orbitale

    La ponceuse orbitale est constituée également d’un plateau ponceuse rotative, sur lequel s’adapte un disque d’abrasif. Elle peut aussi être équipée d’un dispositif qui lui permet d’osciller en dehors de la rotation, ce qui en fait alors une ponceuse excentrique ! Son plateau circulaire peut disposer de plusieurs diamètres différents. Vous pouvez y adapter une mousse de polissage ou encore une peau de lustrage et obtenir ainsi une polisseuse ou une lustreuse d’appoint. Son moteur est doté d’une puissance de 200 à 800 watts. Très légère, la ponceuse orbitale peut être utilisée sur toutes les surfaces (à l’exception des angles) en utilisant des abrasifs de plus en plus fins. Comparativement aux ponceuses excentriques, la ponceuse orbitale offre une mi-finition, car elle peut laisser des traces circulaires sur les supports traités.
