'I hope you know how special you are': Gwyneth Paltrow celebrates daughter Apple's 18th birthday

The actress and Goop founder paid tribute to her newly-coming-of-age daughter through an Instagram post.


Her daughter Apple turned 18 this Saturday, May 14.

To mark the occasion, Gwyneth Paltrow posted a sweet message on her Instagram account that same day, along with a photo of her eldest, the fruit of her union with singer Chris Martin.

"I couldn't be more proud of the woman you are," she began, under her post.

Apple Paltrow appears there in a satiny white dress, looking at herself gracefully in a mirror.

"You are everything I could have dreamed of and so much more," the actress continued.

And to add: “Pride is not hidden.

My heart swells with feelings that I cannot express in words.

You are profoundly extraordinary in every way.

Happy birthday my darling daughter.

I hope you know how special you are and how much light you have brought to everyone who is lucky enough to know you.
