Rumors of Vladimir Putin's possible cancer have not stopped.

Is an operation planned?

The disease manifests itself with various warning signs.

Update from May 9, 2022

: The rumors about the state of health of Russian President Vladimir Putin continue.

According to several media reports, there were signs of possible Parkinson's disease at his last public appearances since the war of aggression against Ukraine.

An investigative team wants to have collected data and information that indicate thyroid cancer.

This can become noticeable through various symptoms, such as a swollen lymph node (see first report of May 4, 2022).

According to the British tabloid “Mirror”, an operation is even said to be planned.

Kremlin insiders are said to have reported that Putin would soon undergo cancer surgery.

The newspaper relies on information from the Telegram channel "General SVR", which is run by a former Russian secret service agent.

Doctors are said to have informed Putin that he would be out of action "for a short time" after the operation.

That is why he is to be represented by Nikolai Patrushev, head of the National Security Council.

However, these rumors have not been officially confirmed.

First report from May 4, 2022:

Moscow – Speculations and rumors about the state of health of Russian President Vladimir Putin (69) keep popping up.

After his last public appearances at the Easter fair, it was suspected that Putin was suffering from Parkinson's, which is popularly known as "shaking disease".

Previously, an investigative team discovered possible evidence of cancer.

Accordingly, the 69-year-old could be suffering from thyroid cancer.

There are several symptoms and warning signs associated with this form of cancer.

According to the German Cancer Society (DKG), thyroid cancer is one of the rare tumor diseases in Germany.

While in Germany alone around 69,220 women are affected by breast cancer every year, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) estimates that around 6,120 people develop thyroid cancer every year.

The cancer can occur at any age, but those affected are usually between 40 and 50 years old at the time of diagnosis.

Women are significantly more likely to develop thyroid cancer than men.

It is also a type of cancer with a good chance of being cured.

Thyroid cancer is also known as thyroid carcinoma.

They can occur anywhere in the thyroid gland.

A distinction is made between different types of cancer, depending on which part of the thyroid tissue the tumor originates from.

70 to 80 percent of cases are so-called differentiated carcinomas, which originate in the follicle cells of the thyroid gland.

These cells form the actual thyroid epithelium, i.e. the thyroid hormones.

There are also the less frequently occurring medullary carcinomas (in five to ten percent) and undifferentiated carcinomas (also in five to ten percent of cases).

Thyroid Cancer: What are Warning Signs and Symptoms?

According to information from the DKG, the most important warning sign of thyroid cancer is a new and rapidly growing nodule in the thyroid gland.

If a new or long-standing goiter (enlarged thyroid gland) suddenly feels hard and is growing rapidly, or you notice any unusual swelling in your neck, you should see a doctor straight away.

The following symptoms can also be a warning sign:

  • difficulties swallowing

  • coughing

  • Enlarged lymph nodes in the neck that are palpable or visible

  • feeling of pressure in the throat

  • hoarseness

  • shortness of breath

Speculations about Putin: Does the Russian President suffer from thyroid cancer?

Currently there is not only speculation as to whether Vladimir Putin suffers from Parkinson's disease.

In April, rumors surfaced that the Russian president might have thyroid cancer.

The reason for the speculation was research by the investigative medium “Proekt”, which is blocked in Russia and awarded by the Zeit Foundation, as “Merkur.de” reports in detail.

According to a source at a "VIP clinic" in Krylatskoe near Moscow, there is said to be a "department of personal physicians" of Putin's.

The Kremlin boss regularly had numerous visits from doctors.

For example, the oncological surgeon Evgeny Selivanov flew to see Putin 35 times in four years, spending a total of 166 days in his environment.

He received even more frequent visits from ear, nose and throat doctors Igor Esakov and Alexei Schcheglow.

Since, according to the authors, thyroid cancer is diagnosed in most cases by ENT doctors - and they refer to the Israeli expert Michael Fremdermann - "Proekt" draws its conclusions about Putin's possible cancer.

He also spoke to Ivan Dedow, head of the National Research Center, in July 2020 about thyroid cancer and subsequent hormonal medication.

The discussion about the state of health of the President of Russia was also fueled by the British media.

The Kremlin has since denied the reports.

However, only Putin himself and his closest circle probably know how his state of health really is.

This article only contains general information on the respective health topic and is therefore not intended for self-diagnosis, treatment or medication.

In no way does it replace a visit to the doctor.
