Kassel – There is another big prize at the Eurojackpot: A lucky winner can look forward to a whopping 85 million euros with the correct number.

As usual, the winning numbers will be drawn on Friday (May 13) in the city of Helsinki, Finland.

Whether this Friday the thirteenth makes a person particularly happy is decided at 8 p.m.

Unlike Lotto 6aus49, the draw is not broadcast live.

However, you can read the winning numbers immediately after the draw here or on the Lotto and Eurojackpot websites.

In order to hit the jackpot and get hold of 85 million euros this time, you have to guess all five winning numbers and the two euro numbers correctly.

But even in the smaller prize categories, some high prizes await.

One winner was already happy: A young man from Kassel cashed in at the Eurojackpot on Tuesday (May 10) and won 1,089,550.70 euros.

In addition to the introduction of the second weekly drawing on Tuesday, the maximum jackpot rose from 90 to 120 million euros.

But something has also changed in the game itself.

When choosing the euro numbers, there will be 12 instead of just 10 numbers to choose from (5 out of 50 and 2 out of 12).

Bettors can therefore choose whether they want to play on Tuesday and Friday or only in one draw per week.

The stake of 2 euros per line of bets remains unchanged.

There is also a processing fee, which can vary from region to region.

The acceptance deadline for tickets in the Eurojackpot draw is generally every Tuesday and Friday at 7 p.m.

In some federal states, however, there may be different regulations.

In North Rhine-Westphalia, for example, the lottery tickets have to be handed in a minute earlier – by 6:59 p.m.

In Lower Saxony, players can submit their bets by 6:50 p.m. at the latest.

In Hamburg (6.44 p.m.) and Brandenburg (6.40 p.m.) players have to be a little earlier.

Anyone over the age of 18 can play the lottery.

The chance of clearing the entire jackpot is only 1:140 million, as Lotto reports.
