Intesa Sanpaolo opens the Gallerie d'Italia in Turin

inaugurates a new museum of the Gallerie d'Italia in the historic Palazzo Turinetti in Piazza San Carlo, the registered office of the bank in Turin.

An exhibition path of 10 thousand square meters on five floors, three of which underground, renovated according to the architectural project of Michele De Lucchi - AMDL Circle -.

A unique place, where photography and video art document and preserve images, events and reflections to promote issues related to the evolution of sustainability.

    The 'Gallerie d'Italia - Turin' are home to the Intesa Sanpaolo Publifoto Archive - about 7 million shots taken from the 1930s to the 1990s by one of the main Italian photojournalism agencies - and exhibit a selection of works from the Group's collections including which the pictorial cycle of the ancient Oratory of the Compagnia di San Paolo, owned by the Bank.


    It is a "fundamental step - explains Intesa Sanpaolo - in the promotion of culture in Italy and in the enhancement of an artistic heritage made up of over 35 thousand owned works of art".

Thus, the museums of the Gallerie d'Italia become four

, after Milan, Vicenza, and Naples, which is inaugurated on Friday 20 May, confirming Intesa Sanpaolo's commitment to culture, which the 2022-2025 Business Plan recently presented by CEO Carlo Messina strengthens, leading to a doubling of the overall exhibition spaces by 2025 and consolidating the Group's position among the leading private cultural operators at an international level.
