(ANSA) - BERLIN, MAY 15 - "Turkey is not trying to block the accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO".
The secretary general of the Alliance Jens Stoltenberg said in Berlin, in a video link with the final press conference of the summit of foreign ministers.
"The decision to join NATO by Sweden and Finland must be taken by them. It would be a historic moment and it would increase our defense capacity", he added, also specifying that NATO will give security guarantees to these two countries also during the candidacy period for joining the Alliance.
