Television is a magic box: put into it two women who will fight for the title of the worst saleswoman in the world, and we will still get a television program that is built solely on advertising content.
This is the whole essence of "The Recipe for a Beautiful Life", the caring program hosted by little Michal and master chef Vanessa Videl Avitan.
Every Friday afternoon they pack empty trolley luggage and drive to another hotel.
"Our weekly vacation," they call the format, and then try to sell whatever they can find.
On Tuesday, the two stayed at a Jerusalem hotel, and tried to prove that it was worth staying there.
So they filmed a promotional video at the spa, searched for attractions in the area and recited the most cringeful dialogues ever written, plus Vanessa's lewd looks at the camera.
In fact, it's a 50-minute commercial, which is occasionally stopped for a regular commercial.
At one point they went into the hotel kitchen to cook Rami Levy fish and wrapped them in cling film from a commercial company.
They shoved everything into a sponsored blender, dripped some olive oil of a certain kind, emphasized the qualities of the pot they cooked in it, and poured spices, sun-dried tomatoes and even sesame cream - all branded and highly recommended.
"With your permission, I'll just wipe my hands," little Michal suddenly said, showing off the paper wipes.
Later they promoted a couple show of Oded Menashe and Eden Harel, and did other things because of which Michal said: "I have to wipe my hands, I have a cleaning illness."
Finally, they also marketed face cream.
