(ANSA) - BRAZIL, MAY 16 - The Brazilian president, JairBolsonaro, has criticized the current governments of Argentina and Chile, arguing that the two countries are about to transform into "communist" regimes like those of Venezuela and Cuba.
"Fidel (Castro) and ( Hugo) Chavez are already dead, but the disastrous consequences of communism continue ", wrote the head of state on social media.
"Argentina and Chile are on the same road as Venezuela," added the right-wing leader, referring to the presidents of Argentina and Chile, Alberto Fernandeze Gabriel Boric, both of the left.
"Some still want (communism) for Brazil," Bolsonaro said, in an apparent allusion to former left-wing president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
The text written by the former army captain is accompanied by a video in which alleged Venezuelan immigrants from Ecuban recount the difficulties suffered in their countries of origin.
A young Venezuelan also recommends that Brazilians "not vote badly" in the presidential elections, as did those who allowed Nicolas Maduro to be elected president in her country.
