A boxer died after a competition in Garching near Munich.
The police said the 38-year-old died on Sunday afternoon as a result of the fight.
Accordingly, the boxer lost consciousness after allegedly receiving a blow to the head during the fight.
Because around 50 fans prevented the rescue service from supplying supplies, more than 15 patrols and a special police unit moved in to secure the area.
Fans also at the clinic
After treatment on site, the athlete was transported to a nearby hospital.
There, too, disturbing fans gathered again, who had to be calmed down by the police.
It is unclear whether the delayed rescue measures are responsible for the athlete's subsequent death.
