(ANSA) - NAPLES, MAY 16 - Mafia-type association aimed at receiving stolen goods, detention and illegal carrying of weapons and explosives, attempted murder and association aimed at drug trafficking: these are the crimes that, in various ways, the DDA of Naples challenges 17 suspects to which, in the course of the night, the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Castello diCisterna notified (between Naples, Agrigento, Biella, Ternie Santa Maria Capua Vetere in the province of Caserta), the same number of suspects issued by the investigating judge of Naples.
The investigations by the military from Castello di Cisterna and from the Brusciano and Marigliano stations lasted between December 2017 and December 2020 and concerned the rival clansRega and Esposito-Palermo, both from Brusciano, and their illicit activities, among which drug dealing and extortion.
In total, four suspects who were at liberty were notified of precautionary measures, 11 already detained in jail and two already under house arrest for another cause.
Among the recipients of the measures are also FrancescoPalermo and Tommaso Rega, alias "O 'chirichiello", heads of the homonymous clans dedicated to extortion, bomb attacks, crimes against the person, in matters of weapons, and the trafficking of large quantities of drugs of various kinds, marketed in their "sales squares".
Among the episodes on which the investigators' attention was concentrated there are also two attempted murders: the first occurred on December 3, 2017, the second 17 days later, on December 20, in which the father of a military soldier in the Operations Section was injured. of the Compagnia di Castello di Cisterna, who accidentally found himself on the site of the ambush.
