(ANSA) - BEIJING, MAY 16 - China calls for an "end to interference in internal affairs" in response to Saturday's statement by the G7 foreign ministers, citing tensions over Taiwan, violations of human rights in Xinjiang and Tibet, the squeeze on Hong Kong, the disputes in the East and South China seas and the warning to Beijing not to assist Russia in the invasion of Ukraine.
"What I want to point out is that the business linked to Taiwan, Xinjiang, Tibet and Hong Kong are purely China's internal affairs and do not tolerate interference from outside forces," a spokesman for the Chinese embassy in London said.
