Are you looking for a quick meal that gets by with just a few ingredients?

You don't want to stand in the kitchen forever and still feast?

Then try this pasta casserole.

  • Pasta casserole comes with just a few ingredients.

  • The dish is quickly prepared and in the oven.

  • You can modify the basic recipe to suit your taste.

You sit or stand at work, the working day is coming to an end and you are slowly getting hungry.

Many even know that it is not only their own stomach that will soon growl noticeably, but also the children's stomachs at home.

So what to do?

Buy a can of soup or ready-made pizza on the way home?

Or would you rather make a gratinated pasta bake yourself within 45 minutes?

With cream, peas and ham - a juicy number.

The question is irrelevant...

The pasta selection for the baked pasta casserole

That's an advantage - in addition to the short preparation time - of this dish: everything is possible, everything is allowed.

Ask the kids what their favorite pasta is and get started.

And the combination of different varieties is also an option.

Important in this case: Make sure that the cooking time of the different varieties does not differ massively from each other.

In such a case, you would have to use two pots to cook the noodles.

The preparation and preparation of the gratinated pasta casserole

In a nutshell, the ingredients are cut up or prepared.

During this time, the noodles can cook.

In any case , cook

al dente

- so they can still have a little bite, because: In the casserole dish they continue to cook when gratinating in the oven.

So don't worry that pasta that is too firm will end up on the table.

There is nothing special to watch out for when preparing it.

The few steps are easy to manage.

You just have to make sure that

the onions and the ham cool down a little after steaming

.

Otherwise it can happen that the

egg mass thickens

when it is mixed with it.

Also delicious:

Also delicious: This pasta casserole will make you happy - without any cream.

The pasta casserole and its many variants

Vegetarian present?

No problem - then the ham is simply left out or a second casserole dish without ham goes into the oven.

If you don't have enough vegetables with the peas, you can add more at any time:

broccoli, fennel, kohlrabi, paprika

and everything your heart desires can be used for this casserole.

And if you prefer to leave the place to the vegetables as the main actor, you can alternatively prepare a simple Brussels sprouts casserole, for example.

Side dishes for the gratinated pasta casserole: tips

This is where the famous small but colorful side salad comes in

handy

.

While the casserole is au gratin in the oven, a salad is quickly cleaned, a few vegetables chopped up and everything served with a delicious dressing.

Keep cooking straight away:

Low stocks?

You only need three ingredients for the best tomato sauce in the world.
