(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 16 - "McDonald's will return to Russia under a new brand in June, keeping the restaurant chain and the menu, as well as the jobs".
A source of the company told the Russian agency Tass.
"Over 90% of the suppliers are Russian, they work with them and will continue to do so.
In fact, only the name will change," explained the source.
Already on March 8, the US fast food brand announced the temporary closure of its 850 stores in Russia, today instead the decision to completely leave the country.
The new trademark could be 'Zio Vanya', whose trademark is filed on 12 March: a trademark with a yellow B (which in the Cyrillic alphabet corresponds to V of Vanya) on a red background, which looks very similar to the McDonald's logo, only flipped 90 degrees to the right.
