Italy "shall ensure that the movements of consignments of pigs held in the areas listed as an infected area and related products to other Member States and third countries are not authorized".
This was foreseen by the European Commission Implementing Decision 2022/746 relating to some emergency measures against African swine fever in Italy.
The Decision is published in the Official Journal of the European Union today.
The provision, it says, "applies until August 31, 2022", and provides for the establishment of an infected area in the area of the municipality of Rome that "includes at least the areas listed" in the Decision itself.
Italy must take steps to establish "immediately an infected area in relation to African swine fever" which includes various areas of the municipality of Rome.
This is what is stated in the European Commission Implementing Decision 2022/746 relating to some emergency measures against African swine fever in Italy.
The Decision is published in today's Official Journal of the European Union and indicates in detail the areas of the Rome area concerned.
