This is what a 24-year-old McDonald's burger looks like (@ aly.sherb / Tiktok)

Rob, a resident of Crystal Lake, Illinois, USA, was surprised to find 3 empty bags of McDonald's and a box of chips inside his bathroom wall. Rob shared a picture of the surprising discovery on Reddit's mildlyinfuriating forum and concluded that this meal was bought about 60 years ago And somehow found herself inside the walls of his house.

When asked about the smell that came from the bags and the old chips, Rob replied: "It had no smell, and surprisingly there was no trace of mice either." He told Newsweek he found the "forbidden chips" "As I was removing a bathroom fixture, I noticed a piece of cloth stuck behind a plaster cast and pulled it out to show my wife," Rob explained.

We could see that there was something more inside.

"When we opened the cover and found the old McDonald's bags and chips, we were very surprised and I was glad that was all we found there."

Rob found in the package half a serving of antique French fries accompanied by a few bags that betrayed the early age of the dish.

The old McDonald's branding on the bags features the character of Speedy, the first mascot of the fast food chain later replaced by clown Ronald McDonald. Speedy is seen holding signs saying "I'm faster" and "Custom burgers".

Newsweek reported that article Of Business Insider from 2016 included similar images of McDonald's bags dating from 1955 to 1961. Most concluded that the meal scraps reached the wall of his house by lazy construction workers, who simply were too lazy to throw the scraps in the trash and left them inside the wall we built.

"Our house was built in 1959," Rob said, "it's very close to the location of the McDonald's branch that opened then. I guess the bags found their way into our wall from the original construction workers."
