"All women want round, shapely buttocks, right?"
Victoria Beckham asks you.
In an interview given to the English edition of
Grazia
magazine on May 16, the fashion designer returned to the diktat of thinness, symptomatic of a bygone era, she says.
“It's old-fashioned to want to be very thin.
I think women today want to look healthy.
They want to have breasts and buttocks.”

When the Beckham family was staying in Miami to escape confinement in Great Britain in the spring of 2021, the ex-Spice Girl explains that she was struck by the uninhibited posture of the inhabitants.
"There are a lot of very round women [...] who show off their bodies with a lot of confidence.
I found their attitude and style really liberating.”
She also says that she liked that her daughter Harper was around women who “really celebrated their curves and appreciated their appearance”.
For the fashion designer, the link to her new line of clothing “VB Body” is all found: “The curvier you are, the more my VB Body dresses are beautiful.”
This "permanent capsule" accompanies Victoria Beckham's ready-to-wear collections.
It is made up of 22 basic pieces in sizes ranging from 34 to 46.
“Know who you are, and be happy with who you are”
This speech denotes in a world of fashion still very marked by thinness.
Asked about her own silhouette, more slender than ever, Victoria Beckham invokes personal fulfillment.
“It's not about being a certain size.
It's about knowing who you are and being happy with who you are.
I found my own balance between wanting to have fun and being disciplined, and eating healthy, exercising,” she retorts.
And to conclude: “When you are younger, you fight against this balance.
As I got older, I reached a stage where I know what that balance looks like.
I just know what works for me.”
