(ANSA) - NAPLES, MAY 17 - "At this moment the food insecurity generated by the Russian invasion of Ukraine is creating situations of instability all over the world, especially in the most vulnerable continents such as Africa and Latin America. For this reason we we believe it is the time to invest more and more in technologies to try to address the issue of food safety in the best possible way ".
Word of the foreign minister Luigi Di Maio, in Naples for "Techagriculture", an initiative on new technologies in the agri-food sector promoted by Confagricoltura, Ambasciatad'Israele, Municipality of Naples and Federico II University in Naples.
"Investing more in technologies - explained the owner of the Farnesina - means doing what we are doing here today: only 6% of Italian agriculture is affected by 4.0 processes. it allows us to do two things: one, to maximize the potential of our agriculture; two to make it more sustainable and less impactful on the environment, stating that Italian agriculture is one of the most sustainable in the world ".
