It's quite rare: Unifrance, the organization responsible for the influence and promotion of French cinema abroad, issued a press release on May 13 listing "a total of nearly 80 French works" in production. or co-production which will be visible during the 75th Cannes Film Festival, which opens this Tuesday, May 17.
The message to foreign buyers of the Marché du Film, which is re-establishing itself, is clear.
A few days earlier, the SPI, the Union of Independent Producers, congratulated its members for their 54 films listed, all selections combined.
