Corona: For the time being, masks are compulsory for flights to and from Germany

Although the EU health authority has no longer generally recommended it since May 16, 2022, Germany and other EU countries are sticking to their course of wearing FFP2 or medical masks when traveling by air.

According to the EU health authority, there is no longer a general obligation to wear masks in airports and airplanes due to Corona.
Germany doesn't do that.
Brussels – While some people long for a life without wearing a mask in public places, for others it has become almost "normal" as it gives them a sense of security: FFP2 or medical masks can minimize the risk of corona infection .
On May 16, 2022, the responsible EU authorities decided to lift the mask requirement at airports and on airplanes.

Although the big wave of travel is imminent in summer, the existing corona measures for air traffic are being relaxed.
There is no longer a general recommendation for the mandatory wearing of FFP2 or medical masks in airports and on board aircraft.
This was recently announced by the European Aviation Safety Agency EASA and the EU health authority ECDC.
