will be remembered,
thirty years after the massacres of '92
, in the course of a series of events promoted by ANSA that will kick off this week and continue throughout the year.
In particular, the photographic exhibition
"The legacy of Falcone and Borsellino" has been updated and revised.
, inaugurated for the first time in 2012 by the then head of state Giorgio Napolitano, who together with a docufilm reconstructs the fundamental stages in the life of the two magistrates, from childhood in the Kalsa district of Palermo to their tragic end in the attacks of Capaci and on D'Amelio who also cost the lives of eight escort officers.
The exhibition will now also be permanently installed in the Palermo international airport named after the two magistrates.
Both the exhibition and the documentary in recent years have been seen by thousands of students, in schools throughout Italy, as well as being hosted in institutional places such as the Chamber of Deputies, the European Parliament in Brussels, the Osce headquarters in Vienna and the Sicilian regional assembly.
The first event will take place today 17 May in Caltanissetta, in the former Palazzo delle Poste today the seat of the Sicana Foundation, in via Francesco Crispi 25 at 5 pm After the greetings of the president of the Foundation and of the Sicana Bank Giuseppe Di Forti, of the prefect Chiara Armenia and the mayor Roberto Gambino, the ANSA documentary film will be screened.
The role of Falcone and Borsellino in the fight against the mafia will be recalled during a debate with the Caltanissetta Prosecutor Salvatore De Luca and the councilor of the Court of Appeal Giovanbattista Tona, coordinated by the Sicilian editorial director Francesco Nuccio.
At the end, the opening ceremony will take place for visits to the photographic exhibition hosted in the Palazzo.
The second appointment, promoted by the newspaper La Sicilia, is scheduled for Wednesday 18 May in Catania in the Oratorio delle Salette in the San Cristoforo district at 10.30.
The screening of the ANSA documentary and the interventions of the prefect Maria Carmela Librizzi, the Catania prosecutor Carmelo Zuccaro, the president of the Juvenile Court Roberto Di Bella and the director of the newspaper La Sicilia Antonello Piraneo will trigger a debate on the figure of the two magistrates with the school children present at the meeting.

the opening ceremony of the exhibition and the presentation of the relative catalog will take place in the pre-boarding hall of the international airport of Palermo.
The event, organized together with Gesap, the airport management company, the Federico II Foundation and the Sicilian Region, will be attended by the families of the victims, civil and military authorities and the president of ANSA Giulio Anselmi.
