Lecce continues to structure itself in view of the next Serie A championship and, after the extension of the contract with Pantaleo Corvino, manager of the technical area until 2025, will have as new managing director Sandro Mencucci, presented this morning at the Via del Mare stadium by the president of the Giallorossi club, Saverio Sticchi Damiani.
"He is a manager of the highest level, who had been collaborating with us for a year and will be officially invested with the role of the Board of Directors scheduled for the end of May - the president specified -. His mission is to work on a double front: sports and the economic-financial one, doing everything in balance and trying to hit both goals.It will not be easy because the budget coming from Serie A (between 28 and 32 million), cannot all be destined for the squad.
"I am happy to reunite with Corvino, with whom I worked for many years at Fiorentina - says Mencucci -. Here I found very motivated people, with a very high work ethic that leads me to be optimistic. I would like to build a dream on solid foundations. ".
The new CEO also said that he does not feel like a debt healer, physiological for any club: "I will try to give economic stability through intelligent choices to give Corvino important resources".
