The Libyan government appointed in February by the Tobruk parliament, led by

Fathi Bashaga

, announces its withdrawal from Tripoli, a few hours after its entry into the capital.

After the entry into Tripoli of the government - a rival of that of national unity, with premier

Abdul Hamid Dbeibah

- there were clashes between rival militias in the city.

According to The Libya Observer, citing local sources, a "cautious calm" now prevails in the capital.

The Bashagha media office said it had decided to leave Tripoli "to stop the bloodshed and ensure the safety and security of the people."

"The Administration of the Protection of the Diplomatic Missions announces the wounding of one of its elements by gunshots that exploded in the clashes that took place in Tripoli, while it is working to protect the Italian embassy".

This was written by a tweet from the Abaad News site referring to the clashes that accompanied the rejected attempt by the 'parallel' Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha to enter Tripoli.

From an informed source it was learned that the guard was hit by stray bullets and not as part of a targeted firefight.

"We wish a speedy recovery to Hisham, a member of the Diplomatic Police injured by a shot during the clashes this morning", writes a tweet from the Embassy of Italy in Tripoli, adding: "We are close to the family, the captain and his colleagues of the Diplomatic Police. We look forward to seeing him back in service soon ".
