Covid: 30,408 positive, 136 victims

Rate drops to 11.5%, -19 intensive care. The second tranche of fines aimed at unvaccinated over 50s is on the way (ANSA)


There are 30,408 new infections from Covid recorded in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Yesterday there were 44,489.

The victims are instead 136, with a decrease of 12 compared to yesterday. 

952,578 people are currently positive for Covid, 14,823 fewer in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

A total of 17,147,477 Italians have been infected since the beginning of the pandemic, while the deaths rise to 165,630.

The discharged and healed are 16,029,269, with an increase of 45,614 compared to yesterday.

There are 264,273 molecular and antigenic swabs for the coronavirus carried out in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Yesterday there were 335,217.

The positivity rate is 11.5, down from 13.2% yesterday.

There are 318 patients admitted to intensive care, 19 fewer than yesterday in the balance between entries and exits.

The daily admissions are 25. The hospitalized in the ordinary wards are 7,276, or 189 less than yesterday.
