The Medical Association announced last night (Tuesday) a 24-hour strike this coming Thursday, in protest of the violent incident that took place last night at Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus.
According to the plan, the hospitals will work on a Saturday and holiday basis, and the medical staff will sit in all the community clinics - in each large city there will be one Torah clinic.
Outpatient clinics have been shut down, and emergency care will operate as usual: emergency dialysis services, emergency rooms, intensive care, delivery rooms, preterm infants and oncology treatments.
Among other things, urgent endoscopic operations and late systems review for pregnant women will also take place providing fertility treatments.
Will be examined individually by an Exceptions Committee.
It is important to note that the wards that have not been sat are: gastrointestinal institutes for non-delayed (endoscopic) operations (as opposed to striking gastro clinics), day care, oncology, late systems reviews for pregnant women, IVF treatments.
