A cult story
At the heart of the story, the young Emmanuelle, 19, joins her husband Jean in Bangkok.
There, she learns about erotic pleasures, multiplying the adventures with men and women.
If Just Jaeckin's feature film caused a scandal when it was released in 1974, it remained on the Champs-Élysées for more than thirteen years.
And at only 22 years old, actress Sylvia Kristel became the fantasy of millions of spectators.
A success that led to the creation of four sequels and a series.
In 2016, Netflix subscribers discovered or rediscovered this story, when the film was added to the catalog of the streaming platform.
