I have now spoken with my colleague the Ukrainian Minister of Health.

We will allocate additional millions of shekels for medicines that will be delivered directly to Ukraine, and we will make sure to fly the wounded from Ukraine to Israel for treatment - at our expense.

I made it clear again: Israel condemns the brutal Russian invasion and stands by Ukraine.

This is our unequivocal position, and we back it up in deeds.

Meanwhile, employees of the Ministry of Immigration and Absorption received the welcome of the 20,000th immigrant who was absorbed in Israel a short time ago from the outbreak of hostilities between Ukraine and Russia.

1,140 new immigrants who arrived in recent weeks are staying by the hour, staying in the 24 hotels rented by the Ministry of Immigration and Absorption as part of the operation.

Thousands more who were housed in hotels moved to a permanent settlement in the community as part of the housing program that Minister of Immigration and Absorption Pnina Tamano Sheta approved in the government with Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Housing Minister Zeev Elkin.

The most absorbing cities in the framework of the operation are Haifa and Netanya, which each received about 2,000 new immigrants, and Tel Aviv-Yafo, which received about 1,900 new immigrants.

To date, 1,247 children and adolescents are currently enrolled in an educational setting, with 1,152 of them already absorbed into educational institutions even though the school year is nearing its end.

Meanwhile, the firm currently operates about 40 studios for adults, for the purpose of learning the Hebrew language that will help them with absorption as well.

Minister of Aliyah and Absorption Pnina Tamano Sheta said: "We are happy that we are fulfilling every day in the Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption the goals we have set for ourselves.

In two and a half months, 20,000 immigrants arrived, a very happy figure for Ukrainian Jews coming to Israel.

Many of the immigrants have already been absorbed and integrated into local authorities throughout the country, and there is still a lot of work ahead of us. "
