14,900 euros – a 13-year-old discovered this amount in an abandoned briefcase on a platform in Oberhaching.

But instead of going to the police station and reporting the find, he decided to squander the money with friends.

According to the police, the minors bought jewelry, clothing, food and an e-scooter, among other things.

They only admitted the theft in early May after being confronted by their parents.

They had noticed that the children were living beyond their means.

After all: A large part of the purchases could be returned.

The remaining approximately 1000 euros were paid by the parents.

According to the police, the owner of the bag was a 62-year-old from Sauerlach.

The young people cannot be prosecuted because they were all under the age of 14 at the time of the crime.

It is said that they would not be able to avoid a clarifying conversation with the federal police.
