Stained mattress: baking soda, the miracle solution

Baking soda is a product that is used for everything in the house: it is particularly useful for disinfecting a mattress.

Before you begin your cleaning session, vacuum the mattress to remove as much dust as possible.

Then prepare a mixture consisting of a glass of baking soda mixed with half a liter of 3% hydrogen peroxide.

This will allow you to thoroughly clean your bedding and eliminate bad odors.

Apply to stains, rub with a clean cloth, and let dry.

If you don't have hydrogen peroxide at home, you can mix baking soda with warm water to make a paste-like solution to apply to the stains.

This method is less effective than using hydrogen peroxide, but if the stains are recent, it may be sufficient.

Other natural products are effective

To remove stains from a mattress, you can also rub half a lemon on it and rinse with clear water, mix baking soda with white vinegar or even combine ammonia with a few drops of washing-up liquid to scrub dirty areas vigorously.
