The secrets of the American entertainment industry are revealed in the musical drama "Elvis", the film by director and creator Buzz Lorman ("Romeo and Juliet", "Moulin Rouge") about the rock legend Elvis, starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks.
The film deals with the life and music of the young Elvis Presley (Butler) and his complex relationship with his mysterious personal manager Colonel Tom Parker (Hanks), all against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America.
The film will focus on the story of Presley's rise to prominence from road shows in Memphis to showcases in Las Vegas and establishing his status as the greatest rock star the world has ever known.
As part of the closing events of the Cannes Film Festival, on May 25, the film will be screened for the first world screening.
It will be released on June 23 in Israel and around the world.
