Along with basil and mint, parsley is one of the most popular herbs.
But when growing, you should make sure that the pot is deep enough.
Munich – Whether in herb quark, in sauces or to refine bread dumplings: parsley is extremely versatile and very healthy at the same time.
With 133 milligrams of vitamin C per 100 grams, it outperforms many a citrus fruit.
But those who grow them should make sure that the pot is deep enough.

Flat-leaf parsley tastes a little milder than curly parsley, but both varieties are easy to grow from seed in a pot.
These are now available in garden centers and online, even in well-stocked department stores or drugstores.
But so that you can harvest plenty of herbs in the future, there are a few things to keep in mind with parsley:
Since the parsley forms deep roots, the pot should be 30 centimeters deep.
You can grow the parsley indoors and put it outside as soon as it is warm enough (in our latitudes around May).
Direct sowing outdoors is also suitable from late spring.
You can harvest the first leaves as soon as the plant is at least 15 centimeters high.
If you cut off leaves earlier, you endanger the whole crop.
This is usually the case after eight weeks from the time of sowing.
To harvest, be sure to use sharp and clean kitchen scissors to snip off the outer leaves.
This is the fastest way for the leaves to grow back.

Anyone who grows root parsley not only benefits from the leaf parsley that grows out of the ground, but can also look forward to aromatic parsley roots when sowing in spring in autumn.
