Unless things change, the Wimbledon Men's Tournament will not award qualifying points for the ranking.
The ATP has in fact confirmed the threat immediately after the decision of the London tournament, the third slam of the season, to exclude Russian and Belarusian tennis players from participating.
"It is with great regret and reluctance that we see no option but to remove the points from Wimbledon," reads a note from the ATP. "Our rules exist to protect the rights of players. Unilateral decisions of this kind, if not addressed, will they create a harmful precedent. Discrimination by individual tournaments is not practicable. "
