Tragic accident near Berlin: A man lost control of his car in the community of Oberkrämer in the Brandenburg district of Oberhavel when driving into the garage and ran over his wife.
The police said the 80-year-old was fatally injured.
The police named a medical problem of the 81-year-old as the reason for the accident, but did not provide any further information.
According to initial findings, the woman had opened the garage doors and was still standing in the entrance to the garage.
The man touched a pillar and a trailer and then ran over his wife.
Rescue workers who were called in could not prevent the woman's death.
An expert should now clarify the exact procedure.
The driver's license of the 81-year-old was secured.
