(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, MAY 20 - Imports of natural gas from Russia to Finland will be stopped on Saturday 21 May at 7. This was announced by the national energy company Gasum in a note after being informed of the decision by Gazprom.
"We have prepared ourselves carefully for this situation and will be able to supply gas to all our customers in the next few months", assures the CEO of Gasum, Mika Wiljanen, describing the decision as "deplorable".
The company reports that it will continue serving customers "throughout the season from other sources, through the BalticConnector pipeline."
