12 years after the release of her latest album, Efrat Gush, one of the most respected composers in the Israeli music scene, is releasing her first single from a new and anticipated album.

"Great Power" is a personal and exposed song that Efrat wrote and composed, and is the first swallow from her fourth album to be released later this year.

During her work on the album, Gush first collaborated with music producer Ido Maimon, who is identified with the local and international hip hop scene (Black Eyed Peas, Tuna, Ravid Plotnik, The Snake Fish and more).

The new single is accompanied by a product clip of Efrat's first directorial work, which also created the visual language in collaboration with makeup artist Hila Elkayam.

Film and television photographer Daniela Nowitz (winner of the Ophir Prize for filming the film "Asia") believes in photography.

Dancers Niv Arbel and Ella Gil participate in the clip and Achinoam Chai is responsible for the choreography.

Efrat, who is considered one of the most versatile perfumers in the country, has returned to the forefront of the stage in the last year when she is at her best and is receiving a warm embrace from the audience with spoken sold-out performances.

"I started writing the song 'Great Power' after many alcohol rehab attempts that I went through on my own or in rehab centers," she says.

"None of them succeeded for a long time. I kept drinking again and again, I sank into depression and felt defeated," she shares.

"Anyone who has ever fallen into any pit knows how difficult it is to climb back from it. But hope is a function of struggle, it exists only when we believe in our power to act. Without the failures time and time again, without the repeated attempts, I could not return to you."

Upcoming performances:

27.5.22 - Milk and Honey Festival, guest: Alon Adar, the performance hall from Zera.

18.6.22 - Special performance with the Israeli Chamber Orchestra, joint evening with Dana Berger - Amphi Wahl Tel Aviv.

4.8.22 - Zappa Herzliya.
