Coffee is available to us today in a variety of forms, from black coffee, roasted or unroasted beans and also as instant coffee.

The biggest development in the world in home coffee in recent years is the use of capsules through a Nespresso machine.

Elite Coffee's new coffee capsules make it possible to access worlds of coffee that once would not reach the average consumer.

All 17 types of capsules, which feature a variety of coffees from the best growers in the world, are perfectly adapted to existing Nespresso machines - from the level of coffee processing to the structure and sealing of the capsules themselves, so no adjustment or change in preparation is required.

To begin to understand how complex the process that begins in the field and ends in our cup of coffee is, we spoke with Zion Cohen, chief technologist of roasted and ground coffee at Elite Coffee, which has been in the field for over 30 years.

Zion, how do we know what the right coffee is for us?

"This is a very subjective question, like asking what tastes best. So the answer is very personal, there are those who like more aroma and sourness, or less sourness and more bitterness. Everyone has their own personal taste and you should try a variety of flavors. With the capsules you can enjoy a unique coffee And interesting at home, and my recommendation is to just try to taste until you find the style that you most connect with. "

Where does the coffee for Elite Coffee capsules come from?

"We work with growers in some of the best coffee growing regions in the world, such as Brazil, Uganda, Indonesia, Colombia and Guatemala. The grower is responsible for growing the shrubs under optimal conditions (each coffee bush yields only 1 kg of beans per year), picking on time, drying The beans and make sure the agricultural produce is the best.

It is important to tell and know that the farmer is very dependent on the grace of heaven - pest migration, different weather conditions from the routine, drought, cold, can all affect the crop, and it is an agricultural crop that the work with is done manually.

The growing conditions in each of the orchards yield different coffee beans, which after proper roasting will become different beverages with a unique character. "

Where is the roasting carried out?

"The sorting and roasting of the coffee is done in the country, our task is to know how to develop the unique aromas and flavors of the green beans that come to us from the growers. From the green coffee, which is tasteless in its raw form, The flavors and aromas of the coffee. "

How do you roast the beans?

"After cleaning the beans we move on to roasting: we have a number of very precise roasting ovens, which know how to reach a level of one tenth of a degree. When the coffee beans reach the temperature we wanted then the roasting ends, then we let them cool in a closed and controlled system.

And what are the next steps on the way to the capsule?

"The beans can then be ground: we work with very precise grinders, which grind the roasted beans to a size that fits the capsule and espresso machine perfectly. In the packaging process we fill the coffee into the cup of the capsule, compress it, close and solder with aluminum foil and then transfer to a package. The capsule also preserves the freshness of the coffee and also allows the flavors of the coffee to be extracted from the machine.
