The First Outstanding School team in Homs won a bronze medal in the World Informatics Olympiad for Teams IIOT 2022, which was organized by Italy on the 19th of May, with the participation of 15 teams from seven countries from the continents of Europe, Asia and Africa.

The Excellence and Creativity Authority stated, in a statement that SANA received a copy of today, that the team of the First Outstanding School in Homs includes Hazem Moataz Dalati from the third secondary grade, Antoine Kamal Dabbous from the third secondary grade, Ammar Muhammad Majd Alfin from the second grade of secondary school, and Farhan Abdel-Gawad Al-Hajj Younis from the grade First secondary.

This is Syria's first participation in the aforementioned Olympiad, which is being held for the fifth year in a row in Italy. It included a 3-hour continuous test, during which students solved 7 problems in competitive programming.
