A 31-year-old driver was driving in Baden-Württemberg with more than five per thousand.

The man got into a meadow next to a federal road in the Konstanz district on Saturday evening, the police said.

When trying to get back on the road, the man got stuck with his car on the shoulder between the road and the meadow.

An uninvolved driver called the police.

Officers found the man had alcohol-related symptoms when they examined him.

A voluntary alcohol test revealed a value of over five per mille.

The 31-year-old then had to undergo a blood test and hand in his driver's license.

His car was towed.

The man is facing charges of drunk driving.
